Fans of Taylor Swift who recently traveled to Singapore for the Eras Tour were not only thrilled by the singer’s performance at the National Stadium; many left equally impressed by Singapore’s well-organized public transport and crowd management. Over the weekend, attendees from neighboring countries shared their positive experiences on social media, highlighting the efficiency and reliability of Singapore’s transit system.

A Malaysian fan, Muaz Mohd, posted on X about his time at the concert and commended Singapore’s infrastructure. “Went to the Eras Tour in Singapore (and had the best time ever), but I want to highlight how great Singapore’s public transport and infrastructure are,” he wrote. During his stay, he used buses, MRT trains, and walked without needing a car. “The buses were on time, often even early, and you can track them on Google Maps or see live info at the bus stops. It’s arguably better than London’s system,” he added, sharing a photo of a bus stop display panel in Dhoby Ghaut.

Another fan, Erika Arana from the Philippines, documented her visit to Singapore on TikTok. Praising both the transport and the orderly crowd management, she captioned her video, “It’s more than just The Eras Tour,” suggesting Singapore’s infrastructure as an inspiration for improvements back home.

In a March report by CNN Travel, Singapore’s MRT system was ranked among the top 18 metro systems globally. Known for its cleanliness and efficiency, the MRT strictly enforces bans on smoking, drinking, and even durian—the pungent local fruit.

With Taylor Swift’s six shows drawing over 368,000 fans, crowd control was crucial. SMRT Trains ensured smooth post-concert transit, managing crowds into the Stadium MRT station in organized groups. To maintain comfort and flow, SMRT played Swift’s hits for waiting fans, increased train frequency, and stationed extra empty trains to assist if needed. Additionally, SMRT worked with the Singapore Sports Hub and the Land Transport Authority to prevent traffic congestion, supported by police and Singapore Civil Defence Force personnel to ensure safety and security throughout the event.
