Counter-Strike and Dota 2 tournaments are set to take place in Singapore in 2024 and 2025, promising to showcase some of the best esports action globally. Organized by Blast, an esports entertainment company, and supported by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB), these events will attract top-tier esports teams and players from around the world.

The World Final 2024 for Counter-Strike is scheduled from October 30 to November 3, 2024. This event is anticipated to be the largest Counter-Strike tournament ever hosted in Singapore, featuring the world’s top eight teams competing for a prize pool of US$1 million (S$1,304,000). Among the qualified teams are NAVI, Team Spirit, Team Vitality, FaZe Clan, and G2 Esports.

Following this, the Blast Dota Slam will take place in 2025, further cementing Singapore’s status as a key player in the esports scene. James Woollard, Blast’s director of market development, expressed enthusiasm about bringing two of the biggest esports titles to the city. “Over the coming 18 months, Singapore will become a major hub for esports in Southeast Asia. With the support of the STB, we look forward to delivering unforgettable experiences for fans while helping to build a thriving esports ecosystem in the region,” he stated.

Ong Ling Lee, executive director of sports and wellness at STB, shared the excitement of hosting these prestigious tournaments. “We are confident that international participants and their fans will have a memorable experience in Singapore, immersing themselves in the diverse and dynamic offerings of our city,” she remarked.

Fans interested in attending can register at Blast.tv for updates and ticketing information, including details for the presale window.
