A commercial drone operator has been suspended following a crash involving an unmanned aircraft (UA) at a condominium in Buona Vista on July 19. The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) confirmed that H3 Dynamics Holdings Pte Ltd was operating a Hexadrone TUNDRA 2 drone over One-North’s designated drone estate near the Pixel Building when the incident occurred.
According to CAAS, during its eighth flight, the drone veered off its designated path and crash-landed at One-North Residences at around 6 p.m. Initial investigations suggest a malfunction in the drone’s positioning sensors, causing it to deviate from the planned route. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, although witnesses noted that children were nearby when the crash happened.
In response, CAAS has suspended all operations of H3 Dynamics and use of the Hexadrone TUNDRA 2 model across Singapore. This particular model is currently the only one of its kind registered in the country. CAAS has also advised all UA permit holders to reassess their safety protocols. The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
