SINGAPORE – H3 Dynamics Holdings, an aviation tech company, has been suspended from drone operations after one of its drones crash-landed on July 19 at One-North Residences. The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) also suspended the use of the Hexadrone Tundra 2, the only registered drone of its model in Singapore.
The incident occurred during a series of test flights at Singapore’s one-north drone estate near the Pixel Building. On its eighth flight of the day, around 6 pm, the drone veered off course due to a malfunctioning positioning sensor and landed within the nearby condominium complex. No injuries were reported.
CAAS director Maran Paramanathan stated that the operator’s suspension, along with the drone model’s, serves as a precaution while CAAS investigates the cause thoroughly. “We urge all users to operate unmanned aircraft safely and responsibly,” he added.
One-north was designated as Singapore’s first drone estate in 2018, offering a controlled environment for companies to test drone applications in urban settings. H3 Dynamics, headquartered in Singapore for the Asia-Pacific region, provides hydrogen-based unmanned systems and other tech solutions worldwide.
