In a scene straight out of London, a man in Singapore was spotted dressed in a British royal guard uniform, complete with a red tunic and bearskin hat, while standing motionless at a void deck in Bukit Batok Avenue 5. Instead of a rifle, he held a long umbrella as he stood at attention, delighting and surprising passersby.
TikTok user Pimpila Hoo, who shared a video of the man, said she saw him twice on March 20—once around 2 pm and again at 4 pm—standing in place for about 15 minutes each time. He maintained a stoic demeanor and avoided interacting with curious onlookers, some of whom suggested he might have considered the SAF No. 1 uniform instead.
The video quickly gained traction, with amused commenters suggesting he should be in England rather than Singapore. Some even joked about the possibility of the Princess of Wales, Catherine Middleton, making an appearance. Other users mentioned spotting him previously in Lavender MRT, adding to the mystery of his appearances.
