Disney Cruise Line (DCL) is set to bring its enchanting cruise vacations to Southeast Asia, with Singapore as the homeport for a brand-new Disney cruise ship starting in 2025. The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and DCL announced their collaboration in a press release on Mar. 29, confirming that the partnership will last for at least five years.

Details regarding the ship’s maiden voyage, itineraries, and onboard experiences are yet to be revealed, but excitement is already building for what promises to be a magical adventure.

The new cruise ship will have an estimated passenger capacity of 6,000, with around 2,300 crew members. It is also expected to be one of the first in the industry to be powered by green methanol, an environmentally-friendly fuel that reduces emissions.

Guests of all ages can look forward to meeting beloved Disney characters such as Captain Mickey Mouse, Captain Minnie Mouse, Disney Princesses, and Marvel Super Heroes. The ship will feature unique Disney-themed experiences, world-class dining, and entertainment, ensuring an unforgettable journey.

The ship is being constructed at the MV Werften shipyard in Germany, under the management of Meyer Werft, the same company responsible for building other Disney ships like the Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, and Disney Wish.
