A new Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) Services Centre will open its doors on April 7, located at 2 Crawford Street, just next to the current ICA building. The centre will operate with the same hours as the existing location, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday.

The new centre promises a more efficient and streamlined experience for visitors, allowing for a “seamless transaction” by centralising services into one location. Instead of navigating multiple floors of the current building for different services, the public will be able to handle all matters at a single point of contact within the new centre.

Starting in July, the centre will also introduce self-collection of identity cards and passports via automated kiosks. This innovation eliminates the need for appointments, giving people the ability to collect their documents at their convenience. Further details on the collection process will be announced closer to the date, according to the ICA.

Temporary Suspension of Services at ICA Building
From April 1 to 4, counter services at the ICA building will be suspended as preparations for the new centre are finalised. During this transition period, ICA officers will focus on system checks, stress tests, and the finalisation of processes. No walk-in services will be available, except for urgent cases, which will be handled on an individual basis.

Examples of urgent services that will still be processed include passports for immediate travel, oath-taking for minors turning 22 between April 1 and 6, and the completion of formalities for expiring immigration passes.

Transport and Parking Information
For those visiting the new services centre, the ICA encourages the use of public transport, with Lavender MRT Station just two minutes away. Due to ongoing work at the ICA’s carpark, public parking will not be available until 2027. Alternative parking options can be found along North Bridge Road, Crawford Lane, and French Road. There will also be a pick-up and drop-off point at the entrance of the new ISC.

The ICA emphasised its commitment to improving customer service, and the new centre is expected to enhance the overall experience for visitors.
