Singapore, July 28, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — ServiceNow (NYSE: NOW), the leading digital workflow company, has announced a national skills commitment aimed at training over 1,000 Singaporeans in digital skills by 2024, aligning with the Government’s Smart Nation agenda. This initiative supports their global program, RiseUp with ServiceNow, which aims to skill one million individuals on their platform by the same year.

ServiceNow has teamed up with various organizations, including NTUC LearningHub, VITAL Shared Services, Synapxe (Singapore’s HealthTech agency), GovTech, Accenture, Fujitsu, Enable (a Fujitsu company), NCS, and Tata Consultancy Services, to enhance the digital capabilities of employees.

The announcement was made at the launch of ServiceNow’s new Innovation Centre, a digital incubation hub designed for Singapore enterprises to model, demo, and stress-test digital roadmaps such as GenAI, hyperautomation, and low-code applications. The centre offers six purpose-built workspaces located in Suntec, Tower Four, where companies can create custom digital blueprints to scale their business strategies and share best practices. Additionally, it will host on-demand training sessions in collaboration with academia, customers, and partners committed to skilling Singaporeans.

As part of this initiative, ServiceNow and NTUC LearningHub have signed an Academic Partnership agreement to deliver low-code digital courses to over 1,000 individuals by 2024. The first course, the ServiceNow low-code citizen developer course, is currently available and subsidized by SkillsFuture Singapore, a government initiative aimed at enhancing accessibility to skills training.

Jeremy Ong, CEO of NTUC LearningHub, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “Our commitment to equipping the workforce with job-ready skills is strengthened by partnerships with world-class organizations like ServiceNow. The low-code course will empower individuals to acquire transferable skills across various job functions and industries.”

ServiceNow also offers more than 600 free courses and 18 job-related certification paths for those interested in building a digital career. Local placements are available with key partners such as Accenture, Fujitsu, Enable, NCS, and Tata Consultancy Services.

Wee Luen Chia, Managing Director and Area Vice President of ServiceNow Asia, highlighted Singapore’s significance as the regional headquarters for ServiceNow, emphasizing the country’s strong focus on economic growth through talent and technology. “Singapore’s highly skilled, advanced digital economy positions it for continued success,” he said.

Dennis Lui, Chief Executive of VITAL, noted that developing people’s skills is crucial for meaningful digital transformation. The partnership aims to equip individuals with low-code skills, offering non-technical employees opportunities to improve their work processes.
