Singapore’s passport has again claimed the title of the world’s most powerful, sharing the top spot with passports from France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and Spain. According to the latest Henley Passport Index released on January 10, 2024, citizens from these six countries can enter 194 out of 227 global destinations without a visa.

The Henley Passport Index, a quarterly ranking by London-based consultancy Henley & Partners, assesses 199 passports against 227 travel destinations to determine global travel freedom. In this latest report, Finland, South Korea, and Sweden hold second place with visa-free access to 193 countries, while Austria, Denmark, Ireland, and the Netherlands rank third with access to 192 destinations.

In 2023, Singapore stood alone at the top with visa-free entry to 192 countries. In 2022, Singapore tied for second place alongside South Korea, while Japan took first with 193 visa-free destinations.
