SINGAPORE: Reinforcing its status as a global leader, Singapore has been named one of the top five most resilient cities worldwide, according to the latest rankings by the Japanese think tank Mori Memorial Foundation. The rankings evaluated 48 global cities on 70 indicators across six key fields: economy, housing, environment, culture and exchanges, and transportation.
In an unchanged top five, Singapore held fifth place, following London, New York, Tokyo, and Paris. Singapore’s standout economic performance placed it fourth among all cities, underscoring the city-state’s commitment to economic vitality and robust international relations.
Alongside its economic strengths, Singapore excelled in culture and exchanges, highlighting its role as a hub for international connections. Additionally, Singapore’s efficient transportation infrastructure ranked in the top ten, showcasing a highly developed network that boosts the city’s overall strength.
The Mori Memorial Foundation’s rankings provide a comprehensive look at cities’ strengths in living conditions, economic health, and sustainability, affirming Singapore’s commitment to maintaining its position among the world’s elite.
