SINGAPORE – Every Singaporean household is now eligible to claim $300 in Community Development Council (CDC) vouchers, which can be used at participating hawkers, heartland merchants, and supermarkets. This new tranche, available from June 25, follows the $500 CDC voucher package distributed in January, bringing the total support for each household to $800 this year.

The CDC voucher scheme, which began during the pandemic to help families and support local businesses, has now been expanded with over 23,000 participating hawkers and merchants. Singaporeans can redeem the vouchers through an SMS link after completing a simple claim process using Singpass. The vouchers are valid until December 31, 2024, and can be used at major supermarkets like NTUC FairPrice, Giant, Sheng Siong, and others.

This financial support is part of a $1.9 billion Assurance Package announced in Budget 2024 to help Singaporeans navigate rising costs. In addition to CDC vouchers, eligible households will receive utility and service rebates in July and October, along with a Cost-of-Living Special Payment in September.

Deputy Prime Minister Gan Kim Yong emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting Singaporeans through uncertain times, stating, “The CDC vouchers are a testament to our efforts in addressing cost-of-living concerns.”
