Among those remembering him is Nicholas Lee, who portrayed Ronnie Tan, the son of Lim’s character in the popular TV sitcom Under One Roof. Lee shared a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, describing Lim as a “second dad” and expressing how “indescribable” the pain of his loss is. He fondly recalled the joyous times spent together and vowed to treasure those memories forever.

Vernetta Lopez, who played Denise Tan, the daughter of Lim’s character, also honoured him, recalling their time on set and describing Lim as a consummate professional who broke new ground for Chinese actors in English-language television. “He set the standard for us all,” Lopez said, reflecting on his significant impact.

He reminisced about the laughter, teamwork, and support they gave each other, even in challenging moments, like when co-star Henry Thia forgot his lines during rehearsals. Neo also fondly remembered how Lim had been unable to attend the premiere of his latest film due to a cold, yet still provided emotional support in the lead-up to the event. Neo concluded his post with a message for Lim: “You can rest now.”
