Following the re-election of Sylvia Lim as Chair and Pritam Singh as Secretary-General on Nov 12 at the Workers’ Party’s Cadre Members’ Conference, the party unveiled its Central Executive Committee (CEC) appointments on Wednesday (Nov 16) after a meeting the day before. The key appointments are:
Vice Chair: Faisal Manap
Treasurer: He Ting Ru
Deputy Treasurer: Nathaniel Koh
Organising Secretary: Dennis Tan
Deputy Organising Secretaries: Ang Boon Yaw, Kenneth Foo, Tan Kong Soon
Head, Media Team: Leon Perera
Deputy Head, Media Team: Louis Chua
Head, Policy Research: Gerald Giam
Deputy Head, Policy Research: Jamus Lim
Youth Wing President: Nicole Seah
Former party chief Low Thia Khiang remains part of the CEC, while former Hougang SMC MP Png Eng Huat did not retain his seat. New additions to the CEC include Nathaniel Koh, who has been with the party for over a decade and contested in the Marine Parade GRC in the last election, and Ang Boon Yaw.
The CEC election, which takes place every two years, is voted on by the party’s cadre members. This year’s CEC has 15 elected members, one more than in the 2020 election.
