If you’ve been eagerly waiting to dive back into the arts scene post-pandemic, Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay has something for everyone this year. As part of its 20th anniversary celebrations, Singapore’s national performing arts centre is hosting a series of events and exhibitions, many of which are free or affordably priced, from now until the end of the year.

Here are some highlights you won’t want to miss:

Free Exhibitions and Programs

Dancing with Light: Experience this captivating projection at Esplanade Courtyard, which will be on display until Oct. 30. Showtimes start at 7:30 pm or 8:00 pm.
Lights On: The Story of Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay: This exhibition, located at the Concourse, shares insider stories about the development of Esplanade. Available all day.
Home Grooves: Visit this exhibition at the Concourse, which documents the evolution of Singapore’s live music scene through photographs, interviews, and memorabilia.
Building Dreams: A behind-the-scenes photo exhibition that showcases the efforts of those who built Esplanade’s new Singtel Waterfront Theatre during the pandemic.
Live Performances

Pop-aholic: From now until Oct. 31, enjoy free live pop, rock, and more music genres brought to life by talented local musicians.
Daybreak (Oct. 21): Singapore Chinese Orchestra performs mythological stories at Esplanade Concert Hall. Tickets start at S$30.
Dragon Ladies Don’t Weep (Oct. 21–22): Classical music artist Margaret Leng Tan performs at the new Singtel Waterfront Theatre. Tickets from S$36.
Dance Enthusiasts

festival (till Oct. 23): Enjoy performances from international artists during this celebration of dance.
Tours

Garden Tour: A nature-inspired tour for children, priced at S$12 per person.
When Stars Align: A guided tour for Esplanade&Me U26 members, focusing on the horoscope elements of fire, earth, air, and water. Tickets cost S$35.
Esplanade Mall Offers From now till Nov. 30, Esplanade&Me members get S$20 off with a minimum spend of S$40 at Esplanade Mall online, while non-members can enjoy S$10 off.
